In the ’70s, McDonald’s created a fictional universe where Ronald McDonald and his friends lived. the company released commercials promoting characters such as Hamburgler, Officer Big Mac, Mayor McCheese, and more. Even before the Happy Meal was launched in 1979, these toys were already attracting the kids. The most eBay selling activity for this toy was for $330, although most tend to sell for between $50 to $70.

McDonald’s released its own version calling it Changeables, and the figures were originally modeled after classic menu items. An unopened set of this was recently sold on eBay for over $400. This toy made its debut in 1986. McDonald’s decided to bring back the toy in 2022 after a long absence but those that were from the 80s and the 90s have something special in them. The price of a complete collection of the three buckets from 1990 reached about $150 on eBay, while this lot of 17 was sold from 1986 sold for $200.
